Samantha and Charlie first met at Davidson College while Sam was on her official visit for college tennis and Charlie was a freshman on the tennis team. They talked about how much they both love Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida, where Sam vacationed with her family and where Charlie grew up. Little did they know that this would one day be the very place where Charlie would propose to Sam.

Sam went on to attend Samford University in Homewood, Alabama, while Charlie transferred to Rollins College. During Christmas Break of 2020, they reconnected, and their very first date took place playing tennis together at Rollins College. Afterward, they walked to Park Avenue for hot chocolate, surrounded by beautiful Christmas lights and decorations, feeling as though they had stepped into a Hallmark movie. Unknowingly, they were just steps away from where they would one day marry each other.

When Sam finished her freshman year, Sam and Charlie officially started dating. Over the next three years of long-distance life, Sam and Charlie cherished their summer and winter breaks together, countless FaceTime calls, and visits squeezed between demanding college tennis schedules. After graduating, they were thrilled to finally close the distance and return to the Orlando area together.

One summer day, Sam and Charlie traveled down to Siesta Key Beach for a getaway. They enjoyed a long day of playing in the water, soaking in the sun, and visiting their favorite restaurants. Just before sunset, they went for a walk on the beach. Charlie led Sam down to the water, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. She said yes!

Sam and Charlie are so excited for all that's to come and cannot wait to celebrate their wedding day surrounded by their family and friends!
